Wall panels are one of the brand’s key specialities, combining aesthetic appeal with practical benefits: they enhance a space, provide thermal insulation, and conceal uneven walls.

The BOVELACCI STONE collection offers a distinctive solution for decorative wall finishes. Made from self-extinguishing expanded polystyrene (EPS), the panels realistically recreate natural stone, blocks, cliffs, quartz, stacked stone, and brick. The collection features a range of ready-made designs: Sassi del Danubio, Blocchi di Pietre, Guglie di Cortina, Faraglioni di Capri, Mura Etrusche, Palazzo di Mantova, Scogli di Panarea, and Quarzo Moderno. Each gives a space a distinctive character, evoking everything from the Mediterranean coast to Etruscan walls and Alpine cliffs.

Beyond their decorative appeal, the panels provide excellent thermal insulation. Polystyrene helps retain heat, and the panels can also be used to conceal areas affected by mould. One product serves both an aesthetic and a practical purpose. The panels fit together with no visible seams: joints fall between matching elements in the texture, such as stone to stone or brick to brick, creating a natural, discreet finish. This makes it possible to create seamless surfaces without additional grouting. The panels are fixed to a clean, degreased surface using Eurocoll Plus adhesive. For exterior applications, special cement-based acrylic adhesives are recommended.

Orac is a leading European manufacturer of decorative architectural elements, with more than half a century of experience transforming walls from simple surfaces into expressive architectural statements. The company’s story began in 1970, when Guy Taillieu founded the Ostend Research and Applications Company, or Orac. From the outset, he championed a simple but powerful idea: every wall holds more potential than meets the eye. In 1992, Orac was the first to introduce Flex technology, allowing profiles to follow the curves of walls with ease. In 2000, the company developed Duropolymer®—a strong, impact-resistant extruded material that opened up a new product category: skirting boards. The launch of the W108 Zigzag panel in 2018 ushered in a new era of 3D panels that do more than frame walls—they bring them to life. In 2023, 3D panels became available in Duropolymer®: more durable, up to 260 cm long, and suitable for high-traffic spaces.

Orac’s three patented materials are each designed for a different purpose. Duropolymer® is a high-density extruded polystyrene that is waterproof and impact-resistant, making it ideal for damp areas and high-traffic spaces. It is 100% recyclable and resistant to termites. Purotouch® is a premium-quality polyurethane with deep relief and crisp edges. Acoustically neutral, it is suited to the most demanding design concepts. Durofoam® is a lightweight polymerised polystyrene blend for decorative elements where low weight and easy installation matter. All three materials come in white and are easy to paint. Purotouch panels can absorb up to 25% of conversational sound—a valuable feature in hotels, restaurants, and public spaces.

Orac’s recognition is reflected in awards at the highest level. In addition to the German Design Award 2026, the company has received a Red Dot Award for its Wave indirect lighting system and the Premio Interiores award for “Phygital Experience.” It was also a finalist in the Best Renovation and New Construction category at the Oostende Awards 2025.
